If we talk about contemporary Samba, we talk about Brazil and we talk about MART´NÁLIA. With more than 13 released abum, and four live DVDs, the artist was awarded with two Latin Grammys for Best Samba Album with “Canta Vinicius de Moraes” (2019) and “+Misturado” (2017).
One thing is certain: the samba runs in her blood. From a very young age she already accompanied her father, Martinho da Vila, in the samba circles in Rio, her hometown. The artist then fell in love with the rhythm and its melodies and learned to dance, sing and play the guitar and tambourine.
The artist is recording her new work in which she will honor the sambas from all different regions of Brazil. Her next album will be released in April 2024 and will be a great tribute to samba beyond Rio de Janeiro, making an exaltation of samba and its different aspects.
